Smiles on results day for our year thirteen
Students celebrated at Chilwell School on Thursday morning with the release of A level and vocational qualifications.
Our seventy students have worked incredibly hard over the past two years and we are delighted with the success the year group has achieved.
We are proud of the inclusive nature of our sixth form and therefore it makes it all the more pleasing when we see students make such good progress. Most of our students are moving on to further study at a total of twenty four different universities, from Newcastle in the north, Oxford University in the middle and London in the south.
We have a number of really high achievers each year, and this year we are delighted with the exceptional performance of Maya and Abbie who achieved A* across every one of their qualifications. Well done!
The school operates an inclusive entry policy with admission to the sixth form set at five GCSEs at grade four or above. It is testament to the staff and students here at Chilwell that students make good progress. Whereas many sixth forms have their entry criteria set at GCSE grades of six or seven, we are committed to supporting as many students as possible to make a successful journey onto university courses. To see the achievement at Chilwell at the same level as more selective institutions is a tribute to the hard work of all.
We have been so delighted to work with our students to help shape their future.
