End of this term and start of next

Advance notice that we will end this term on Friday 22nd December at 12.00pm and start next term for students at 8.40am on Monday 8th January.

Year nine parents evening

We are holding our online consultation evening for parents of year nine students on Thursday 7th December. Information regarding appointments has been issued via class charts.

Cygnus - spring term

We will be opening up the booking for the spring term Cygnus on Monday 4th December with a closing date of Wednesday 13th December. It will be sent out via Class Charts and promoted by tutors.

Neighbourhood networks

I mentioned in the blog of 20th October that we had held a joint meeting of local schools, police and councillors to discuss concerns raised by the schools regarding anti-social behaviour in our community. Primary schools and secondaries find themselves dealing with the repercussions of some of this activity that takes place in the evening and weekends. I am pleased to share letters below from both local police and Broxtowe Borough Council which give a shared commitment with schools to ensure that anti-social behaviour is not tolerated and to ensure that there is confidence in our community to report it immediately. Together we can make our community safe and calm for all of our families.

Examinations

Mocks are now virtually upon us and we wish all of our examination students the best for the next few weeks and that the revision strategies have been successful.

Christingle

We are looking forward to the Family of Schools Christingle which will be held on Monday. With singing from all of the schools, it is a wonderful way to celebrate the season together!
