4th March 2022
It was national offer day on Tuesday of this week and many families will have been receiving an email or letter confirming their place at Chilwell School for next year.
We are delighted that we have been able to offer so many places to our prospective students and we are not only full in all year groups, but have more demand than we are currently able to offer for those who wish to join us in year seven.
We have written to all of our new families and this should be arriving with you over the weekend. There is a lot of information about starting at Chilwell school on our transition pages, but if you have any other questions, please contact us.
Ukraine appeal
We have been completely bowled over by the response to our appeal that was put out last Sunday. We were already receiving a steady stream of donations through Monday, but the additional coverage on East Midlands today and Radio Nottingham meant that by the end of Tuesday we had a collection of supplies like we had never seen before. We are so grateful to our community and the desire to do something to help those who are suffering. Thank you.
I have already been asked by a number of members of staff and students for further action to support those affected by the situation in Ukraine and we will ensure to keep you informed of any further updates.
Football success
The Chilwell football teams remain on their winning ways and our match reports are well worth a read! We all seem to be overcome with the passion of the games and the commitment of the teams. We are hoping for some marvellous outcomes over the next few weeks.
Discovery day - Wednesday 9th March
A reminder that next Wednesday is Discovery Day, where year groups will be working on a range of year based activities. Normal lessons will be suspended, with revision and intervention with years eleven and thirteen and a range of PSHCE based activities taking place across other year groups.
