We end this week with Red Nose day and the opportunity for the school to raise funds for charity. It has been a week full of activity, from fund-raising to performing and curriculum option choices to busy enhancement and after school clubs. It is always good to end the week with a smile.

Today is national offer day for primary to secondary transition. We welcome all of the students and their families that will be joining us in September. Mr Hobbs and I met students from Beeston Rylands yesterday and we will be visiting our other partner primary schools over the next few weeks...

As we head into our half term break, we wish everyone a restful break, an opportunity to reconnect with family and friends and for our examination groups a time to independently plan for success this summer.

Our year eight students have responded excellently this week to their assessments. It is an opportunity for students to mark a moment in their key stage three curriculum to reflect on what they have learnt and the next steps in their education.

Welcome back to a new term, with new enhancement activities, discovery day and progress on expanding our accommodation.

Our students in year eleven and thirteen have now completed the first week of mock examinations and they have been calm, purposeful and organised. Well done to all of them.
