This afternoon at 3.10pm, we will shut our doors. On Monday we will be open for an identified group of children of key workers. When we will open our doors again for a normal school day is at the moment unknown.
After informing parents of the measures we have put in place as a response to the current health situation, I have been really pleased with the response of students.
Covid -19 Coronavirus
We publicised information and guidance for parents about the Covid-19 Coronavirus on the website on 4th February and are aware of the increasing concerns that parents and students may have around the transmission of the virus.
This morning we spoke with students about the importance of today and what it may mean for their generation and the opportunities and issues that may arise as we move into a new relationship with the world.
This is the last head teacher's blog before the end of term and so I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a very enjoyable Christmas and new year.
We now have just under two weeks of term and the calendar is full, not only with the usual lessons, but also a number of seasonal events. On Monday 9th, we will be holding our annual Christingle with our family of schools and we hope to see as many friends of the school at Beeston parish church...
We ended this week with the first of our Discovery Days of the year. Year ten students visited the Skills show, students in key stage three undertook a range of workshops and our year elevens and sixth form considered their next stages.
