Year nine football : Chilwell school 6 - Ashfield academy 5
On Wednesday, there was a fantastic game for the neutrals, as Mr Fendick’s Y9 football squad thundered past the much fancied Ashfield School into the next round of the County Cup.
Man of the Match Jordan Willows scored a last gasp winner, to make it 6-5 in the closing minutes, to secure a fine victory in Mr Fendick’s first game in charge.
A special mention to the sublime Alfie Upton and the mercurial Kanye Bradshaw, both of which played a year up and looked very much at home in a very offensive line up.
