Covid-19 - Year eight students to remain at home on Tuesday 24th November

Students in year eight are not to attend school on Tuesday 24th November as a result of a confirmed case of Covid-19 in year eight.

The school is implementing our procedures that we have in place for this eventuality. I will be in contact with Public Health England in the morning. We will be able to make further decisions about students needing to continue to self-isolate tomorrow, once we have confirmed with our staff the information on close contacts.

Until these discussions can take place, we are taking the precaution of informing you that students in year eight are not to attend school on Tuesday 24th November. Tasks will be available for students to complete from home on Google classroom, with Google meet being used by staff to support students online.

Students in year groups seven, nine, ten, eleven, twelve and thirteen are expected to attend if they are well.

We will establish a complete list of students who have been in prolonged contact and then will issue further information tomorrow regarding the return to school of any students in year eight. We hope that the majority of year eight students will be able to return on Wednesday.

A programme of thorough cleaning will take place in the year eight bubble area from first thing tomorrow morning.

**PLEASE NOTE** Calls may be monitored or recorded for training and quality purposes.
