Chilwell school food bank

We need your help! Chilwell School is setting up a food-bank with the kind aid of Operation Orphan to help the most vulnerable in our community during these troubling times.

We recognise that amidst the uncertainty and instability of COVID-19, many families will be in need of some extra support and we would be happy to help as best we can. With the nights growing longer and winter closing in on us, people in our community are being left without the basic essentials to facilitate themselves through the school and work day; we would like this to change. However, we rely upon and appreciate your kind donations - big or small - to enable this to happen.

We will be happily accepting non-perishable food and drink donations such as tinned items, rice/pasta, granola bars, tea bags/coffee granules, cereals and anything else that is long-lasting and suitable; these can easily be dropped off at the collection points at your child’s year-base which we thank you for in advance. Further details will come via your child’s form tutor.

If you have any queries, please contact Karen Fyles (Head of Sixth Form.) We hope to keep this an ongoing organisation, so don’t worry if you are unable to donate at this moment in time. We would appreciate it if you could discuss this with your family or friends and spread the word!.

Thank you all and keep well,

Chilwell School Food Bank.
