A level / GCSE results - centre assessed grades now to be applied

We welcome the announcement this afternoon of the u-turn by the government in terms of A level and GCSE results.

We were pleased on A Level results day that the majority of students were going to be able to continue with their plans for the future. For these students, it will be welcome news that possibly one or more of their grades will be raised.

For other students, who faced such incredible disappointment last week, the news will be very significant and yet there have already been decisions made by educational providers that have had an impact on our students' plans.

We want to achieve justice as soon as possible. We are already contacting students this evening where we knew there were significant issues. A number of students had already requested and received their centre assessed grades but we will send these to all year thirteen students before the end of the day tomorrow, as confirmation of their result.

These again are rapidly changing times - whilst we will issue these results tomorrow, if there are any other issues with which students need support, please let us know as soon as possible.

On Thursday we will continue with our plans to issue GCSE grades to year eleven students. Students should follow the arrangements sent home previously and ensure they continue to socially distance fom others.

**PLEASE NOTE** Calls may be monitored or recorded for training and quality purposes.
