NCS challenge
The opportunity to volunteer for NCS was given to me by Chilwell sixth form.
Without meeting one of the team during a PSHCE session delivered by NCS I would never have experienced one of the most enjoyable experiences of my entire life. I wish it never ended. Meeting new friends and gaining support from our team leader Natalie and our mentor Jarnet and other staff from NCS and the Notts County FC in the community team was an experience I will never forget.
I was able to do activities that I think my mother would never let me do or get worried about me hurting myself because of the risk, feels very fulfilling! I will never forget about our team bonding sessions; when our team leader danced along baby shark(Baby shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo…[Ha ha ha]).
Our sleep out for Framework charity was a hard night, but much easier for us than the real homeless who don’t even have phones or the safety of a large group of friends. I got through it, and it was fun, but COLD!
