Training with the OWEN project
We were pleased to welcome our friends from the Throwline project to school on Monday.
It was a very cold day, but our year nine students joined Nottinghamshire Search and Rescue and the OWEN project to see how the throwline might be used to save people from the water.
Our lake was used to demonstrate and we were very impressed to see Andy Harrison MBE volunteer to be rescued. Even with a dry suit and thermals it was still cold!
We continue to work on this life saving project and are very proud to be involved in such an important piece of work.
