20th September 2019

It has been a real pleasure visiting primary schools again for assemblies this week.

As part of our transition programme for students moving from primary to secondary, I have been in to our local primary schools to meet current year five and six students. Next week we will welcome parents and students here to our open evening which is on Thursday 26th September.

The transition work undertaken by our dedicated team has meant that our current year seven students have settled in very well and are already making significant progress with their knowledge and understanding across the curriculum.

Sixth form students are out this week on their gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition and today our year eleven geographers have been undertaking urban study fieldwork in Birmingham.

Our examination reviews for this year's results are now complete and already we anticipate results in 2020 to be stronger than this year's results. The summer has shown the year on year improvement in results that is taking place at Chilwell when compared across the authority.

We welcome all prospective parents to come and visit us!
