It was good to see parents this week on Wednesday and Thursday with our welcome to GCSE and A level events. Documents for both of these events are now available on the website.

We also had a range of start of term activities taking place, with photographs, a fire drill and reading assessments in year seven.

Year heads have told me how pleased they are with the way that students are working and we have reviewed our pleasing examination results with faculty teams so that we can celebrate the areas of strength. We will also develop plans where we need students to be more secure in developing a strong understanding of the curriculum.

We will soon be reviewing year eleven progress and ensuring they are well prepared for the mock examinations in December - time is already flying.
