11th October 2024
After a well attended open evening last week, we have school tours for parents who have requested them. We look forward next week to our sixth form open evening and the opportunity to share our facilities, curriculum offer and great teaching.
School tours
We have one week left before half-term and some spaces left on school tours that are taking place next week. Please see here for more details.
Prefects
We have a strong cohort of prefects that have been appointed by Mr Littlewood from our year elevens. They will be involved in a range of responsibilities across the year, having already assisted with guiding parents on open evening. They are to be congratulated on having made a great start to their year and their new roles. Well done to them all.
Sixth form open evening
On Thursday 17th October, we open our doors for prospective students to find out more about Lakeview sixth form and all it has to offer. Each year, we have students join us from other schools who want to study with us. With our separate sixth form facilities, a unique building and bespoke approaches to student programmes, we are pleased to be able to continue our offer for students from across South Broxtowe and Nottingham to become Lakeview students. The open evening runs from 6.00pm to 7.30pm including a presentation from senior staff at 6.00pm, followed by the opportunity to speak to subject specialists.
Sport
Mr Lodge took a group of students to a rugby festival at Wilford last week and our year eleven footballers fought bravely in the national cup, losing out on penalties in the end to Arnold Hill.
