20th September 2024
As current years settle into the demands of this year's learning, we are already looking forward to supporting families through the applications process for secondary schools. A reminder that our open evening for main school is on Thursday 3rd October and for Lakeview sixth form on Thursday 17th October. Both events start at 6pm.
Safety on the way to and from school
Please can parents remind children of the importance of being vigilant on the way to school and on the way home. We have often issued reminders about road-sense but it is also important that students are aware of their surroundings, other people around them and any risks. We want all of our children to be confident and aware of their surroundings so that journeys to and from school are safe and enjoyable. Journeys to and from school can be a great time to catch up with friends and so if children have the opportunity to walk with friends, they should take it.
Bursary payments for sixth formers
If you were entitled to free school meals in main school and feel you may be entitled and benefit from a school bursary, up to £1200, to support your education, please follow and complete the below form. Evidence of your family's income will need to be provided along with this form. Please note, students must have their own bank account to receive these funds. Funds cannot be paid into parents accounts. Further information regarding the 16-19 bursary fund is available via this link.
Defibrillator back in use
We are pleased to inform you that our defibrillator is now back in use after being recalled by the council for safety checks. Thank you for your patience during this time.
