5th July 2024

We end this week with the knowledge that we now have a new government. We hope we can now put behind us the long period of challenge that we have faced as schools and look to the future with the hope that the new government will act to prioritise education, to invest in our children and to value those who look after and educate pupils across the country.

Y10 science trip
Nottingham University hosted a number of our year ten scientists on Thursday. They had a small medical physics talk in the morning about using changes in magnetic waves (not electrical signals) to look at brain activity. They then had an engaging debate on uses of AI. After this they visited the VR lab and then a microscope lab where they looked at SEM images and also a live demo. Finally the group heard from a careers panel. All our students were an absolute credit to the school. Well done all.

More primary sports!

Our sports leaders were at The Lanes this week to assist with their sports day. It was a lovely opportunity to help out and develop sports leader skills further and our students again have been fantastic.
