3rd May 2024
The year 7 team played their first game of the season on Thursday, losing narrowly to a talented Toot Hill team. With a growing range of opportunities for students to take part in team sports, we are also keeping an eye on individual success in the school's sports day in July which will soon be upon us!
Warmer weather
With the hopefully anticipated warmer weather approaching, please be mindful of the uniform policy and expectations. Tailored skirts and shorts (no more than 3 inches above the knee) can be worn. PE kits can only be worn, in intense heat, with prior communication that will be sent via class charts to families.
Camping show
We have a camping show booked from Friday 10th May to Sunday 12th May 2024. Parking may be difficult around this time.
Tree Tops Concert
Last Saturday's concert for Treetops hospice was a great success. Thank you to Grand Central Chorus, Echotones and our own fantastic students for an evening of inspirational music. We look forward to the next one! A selection of moments from the show can be found below.
Support for students in examinations
Well done to all students who have already had practical or language examinations. From next week we really move into the written exam season. Students in years eleven and thirteen have had their exam and briefing timetables. We wish all of our students the best over the next few weeks.
As we enter the exam period, we want to ensure that our Year 11 students are equipped with the best possible support to succeed academically. With this in mind, we are excited to announce that we will be offering free toast to all Year 11 students during the exam period (starting Thursday 9th May). We understand the importance of starting the day right with a nutritious breakfast, especially during this crucial time. Free toast will be available at our Breakfast Club in the small canteen every morning during the exam period from 8am to 8.30am. We encourage all Year 11 students to take advantage of this offering and ensure they begin each exam day with a healthy start.
BASE 51
We are happy to share the services of Base 51, who offer support for 11-25 year olds in Nottinghamshire.
