20th January 2023

It has been a cold and icy week and well done to our year eight students who have been undertaking their assessments in the sports hall. They have approached the week with maturity and commitment. Well done to them all.

Household support fund

We have informed eligible parents of the access to the household support fund through Nottinghamshire County Council. Please make use of this if you are eligible and check on the pupil premium page for further updates.

NEU Strike

I have shared with parents via our news item the dates when strike action will be taken by members of the National Education Union. We are currently assessing the impact that this will have on our ability to provide on site education for all children and we will update parents shortly with the arrangements we will put in place.

Attendance arrangements

We have made some changes to the way that parents can report and update us on any student absence. This includes being able to notify us and send information via WeDuc. We hope that these will make things easier for you. Please refer to our reporting absence page for further information.

Synchronised success for Sophia!

Sophia Banadaki has just qualified for the Regional synchronised swimming squad, representing the Midlands. This team feeds into the GB youth squad so is a huge achievement. She will be in a competition in Bristol in June where the Midlands squad will compete against all the other national regions. Well done Sophia!

Revision - Cygnus

Numbers of students attending year eleven Cygnus sessions as part of the revision programme have continued to grow. We encourage parents of year eleven students to check the revision programme on the Cygnus page for opportunities for additional support.
