We finished the week with a number of fantastic musical performances from Vox pop and the school jazz band. It is really good to see so many students taking part in extra-curricular activities and we expect more students in year eleven signing up for additional curriculum sessions in preparation for the summer examinations.

We have the year eight assessment week next week and a thorough programme of revision support for students in years eleven and thirteen. We are already planning the summer assessment period and we hope that all students in exam years are now into the rhythm of revision and preparation.

Our year eleven parents evening last night was an opportunity for discussions with subject teachers about the next steps for year eleven and we will be reviewing with subject teams the areas where students need to revisit knowledge and skills in meetings over the next week so that support is readily available.
