6th December 2019

We now have just under two weeks of term and the calendar is full, not only with the usual lessons, but also a number of seasonal events. On Monday 9th, we will be holding our annual Christingle with our family of schools and we hope to see as many friends of the school at Beeston parish church as possible.

On Tuesday we will be holding the re-arranged year ten parents' evening from earlier in the term and we are also into year eleven mock examinations. In our final week we will have an evening of "Carols around the Tree" on Monday 16th, our Christmas dinner and jumper day on Wednesday 18th and we finish for the term on Thursday 19th at 12.00pm.

Yesterday we held our Christmas party for the older residents of Beeston and Chilwell and they were entertained with songs and music from our talented students.

Our governing body met last night to review the developments that have been made over the last few months and today was the deadline for parent nominations to join as a governor. I am pleased to welcome Mr Paul Dickens as a parent governor to the governing body.
