Governance

The role of a school governing board is to provide strategic leadership to the school it’s responsible for. The board should prioritise ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school, holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the effective and efficient performance management of staff, and overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure money is well spent
