Pastoral Support

At Chilwell school we are proud of the support and care that we develop around each child. On entry to the school, students have a form tutor who stays with them through their school career. The tutor is the first person the student sees in the morning and is the main point of contact with home.

In addition, we have a team of experienced year heads who manage the curriculum experience and pastoral support for their year group. Whether it is the transition from primary to secondary, managing the options process or making choices about further qualifications and access to university and training, we have the advice and support for all students.

We also have a team of staff who can offer additional support where there is greater  need. Our student services are a gateway for students who may need additional intervention, access to counselling or bereavement services,  as well as a drop in for issues such as a lost tie or bag.
